Abstract
The present invention relates to a method and system for
estimating traffic flows on a road during a period of time, using exclusively
the measurement of environmental noise on said road. In addition, the
invention enables the flows of different types of vehicles to be estimated in
real time and without human supervision, in particular light vehicles, heavy
vehicles and motorcycles or mopeds.
