Abstract
This Paper represents the attempt to evaluate the essential features of the Iraqi Land tenure Authorities (ILA) under the current situation in Iraq in order to develop an effective management and monitoring for the Land Tenure Security (LTS). The measures examined by this paper are the ILAs and its official prospects and barriers under the current policies of the LTS, providing an enabling for the improvement of the living standards and thereby reducing poverty. Therefore, the paper is trying to guide its strategy by generating the depth of understanding required to appreciate the ILAs roles related urban land tenure policies and the tenure security levels in current Iraq. In order to achieve that, this paper deals with the land authorities and institutional aspect of the Iraqi current administrations which plan and manage the current land acquisition policies in Iraq as well as the effective management and monitoring of LTS aimed by these Authorities.
