Abstract
Microphone handling noise can reduce the quality of audio recordings. A perceptual study into this effect has been carried out and the subjective response quantified. This database contains audio recordings of handling noises from 8 different microphone types. Additionally the database contains raw perceptual response data from web experiments carried out to quantify the level of degradation to quality when audio is corrupted with microphone handling noises.
