Abstract
This is an excerpt from a book chapter with the same title in the book Acoustics and Music of British Pre History. The article discusses the measurement and analysis of the acoustics of the pre-historic site Stonehenge based on models and measurements taken at a real size replica in North America. The results are discussed in light of archaeological, anthropological and cognitive knowledge.
