Abstract
This paper describes and discusses a methodology developed to comprehensively assess the quality of stroke services, the problems faced and how they were overcome. Stroke management was defined and used to carry out a criterion-based process audit, which was combined with surveys of patient satisfaction and the staff’s view of the service they provided.
