Abstract

The syntheses of mesoporous MCM-41 silica phases containing the heteroatoms Al, B, Zn, were carried out making use of trimethyl ammonium bromide surfactants of chain lengths C8–C16. The resulting materials were fully characterised by wet chemical and instrumental analysis, PXRD, MASNMR, nitrogen porosimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis.
