1. To explore the theoretical underpinnings of the compassionate mind model
2. To examine how cultivating compassion can help people who have experienced DA
3. To develop an understanding of the threat, drive and soothing systems
4. To develop an understanding of some of the competencies that support engagement with distress and key areas for action
5. To use practical exercises to gain an understanding of some of the key skills of compassion
6. To create a Pre, During and After Plan
