Abstract
This paper describes an on-going development of International Group Work as part of Software Engineering teaching and learning. Social computing (collaboration) software tools were used to enable communication and joint working. Scrum an agile software development method was used. An initial pilot was conducted as an exploratory extra-curricular activity. Subsequently a credit bearing pilot was conducted as an integrated part of the syllabus at both the participating institutions and will be further explored in a subsequent phase of our study. Our international software engineering group project pilot major benefit included - graduate employability by offering first-hand experience of a geographically distributed software development model.
