Little Hulton and Walkden Remembered

Abstract

During January 2011 City West Housing Trust worked with Salford City Council and Farnworth and Worsley Methodist Church Circuit inviting residents to a reminiscence coffee morning at Clegg's Lane Methodist Church.
This was an opportunity to look at photographs and books provided by Little Hulton Library and a chance for residents to share their memories with one another. Salford Museum brought along displays, local history and memory boxes for everyone to enjoy, and One Stop Shop recorded photographs and memories brought along by residents.
To add some further nostalgia to the day radio theme tunes from the 1940s and 1950s were played in a short radio quiz. This short booklet is a souvenir that includes some of the cherished memories shared on the day.
