In this article our ‘bite sized’ pharmacology series, we will look at the pharmacological actions of drugs used in respiratory conditions. This article will illustrate the common therapeutic interventions in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and examine the main types of drug used in these interventions and their pharmacodynamic actions.
