Abstract

This data is posted to support the article: Measuring diaphragmatic excursion using 4-Dimensional Ultrasound: a feasibility study.

This dataset contains Voluson ultrasound data files of diaphragm motion from 12 participants, the raw python code to process this data and the compiled executable of the python scripts. Supporting files include example .bat files, .yaml files, the README.md, How it works.docx and an arguments.txt file. The processing output can show the 3D points and fitted surface, the 2D ultrasound image and the fitted arc or output the 2D or 3D data as an excel document. Example outputs are within the participant folders and the media folder. Other media sources include radius excursion plots for each participant, figures from the paper, and videos of the algorithm outputs.
