Excitation and direct imaging of surface plasmon polariton modes in the near-infrared (2004)

This paper describes techniques for the simultaneous excitation and imaging of various SPP modes in a 2-D periodic hole array, and show that these features are consistent with the dispersion relation for SPPs on a periodically modulated surface.
