Biography Dr. Marina Leontiadou is an Associate Professor at the University of Salford, specializing in Physics and Ultrafast Spectroscopy. She obtained her BSc and MSc degrees in Physics from the University of Cyprus and completed her PhD at the Advanced Technology Institute at the University of Surrey, where she studied spin-dynamics in semiconductor structures. Dr Leontiadou then spent a period as a post-doctoral research associate at the Photon Science Institute, at The University of Manchester working on photovoltaic materials. In 2018 she was awarded a lecturership position (assistant professor) at the University of Salford. In 2022 Dr Leontiadou was promoted to Reader (associate professor). She was elected onto the committee of Institute Of Physics (IOP) Materials and Characterization Special Interest Group. She has been recently invited to be a member of the IOP Awards Committee. Her research interests include colloidal quantum dots, ultrafast charge dynamics, and solar cell efficiency. She has published numerous articles in these fields and has a significant number of citations.
