Biography | Adam joined the University of Salford in 2021 having previously worked as Criminology Lecturer at De Montfort University (2017-2021) and assistant lecturer at the University of Glasgow (2013-2017). He has taught on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate topics including criminological perspectives in security and globalisation, policing and society, crime, risk and community safety, and understanding and explaining crime. He completed his PhD at the University of Glasgow in 2017 and has since published in leading international journals such as: international journal of disaster risk management, policing and society, policing, police practice and research, security journal, and democracy and security. His research interests lie in the areas of policing, private security, security governance, environmental harms and placemaking. Currently, he is working as co-investigator on a BA/Leverhulme funded project looking at 'placemaking and rural resilience in response to flooding in the UK'. Adam has also acted as 1st supervisor for a successful PhD completion and is open to supervising prospective PhD students in his related areas of expertise. |
