Abstract

The Singh government in India inherited its predecessor Atal Bihari Vajpayee government. On the one hand, it spares no effort to develop the relationship with the world's only superpower, the United States, and seek its status as a (nuclear) power through the establishment of a strategic partnership with the United States. On the other hand, it maintains its traditional ties with Russia. Seek its important military and energy security interests; carefully repair and maintain traditional ties with Iran to maintain its long-term energy supply interests and geopolitical interests; in addition, continue to promote the improvement of relations with Myanmar to seek new sources of oil and gas supply and check and balance China's influence.
