Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, irrespective of ethnic background. Our understanding of the needs of breast cancer survivors from different ethnic backgrounds is limited. Breast Cancer Care currently provides a self-management course (“Moving Forward”) in over 75 NHS hospital trusts. However, it is not well attended by women from minority ethnic groups. This study sought to examine whether a different model of service provision is required and, if so, assist with a new intervention design.
