Abstract
"The Man Pond" is a short story about the swans who live on a disused mill pond in Radcliffe. It is told from the point of view of the male swan. All of the stories in the collection are told from the point of view of animals or of peopel workign closley with them. The collection supports the work of the Born Free Foundation, both in its content and in that it raises money for the Foundation.
A short story telling how "The Man Pond" came to be written appears on the Rainy City web site.
