This article considers the application of Physical Theatre practices, specifically clowning and puppetry, in participatory performance settings, The project lead, Richard Talbot, has been exploring ways of making these performances accessible through adaptation to consumer digital virtual spaces during and immediately after the Coronavirus Pandemic. The projects discussed here are a clown participatory workshop inspired by Timberlake Wertenbaker's 1988 adaptation of Phaedra in The Love of The Nightingale and a new experimental adaptation of Pinocchio. Both projects have been conducted on the Zoom video conferencing platform and disseminated via YouTube social media. The latter project involves (and invites) international interdisciplinary collaboration.
