Mr Noel Mellor N.Mellor3@salford.ac.uk
Lecturer in Digital Media
This paper considers perceptions of the occult in 1980s genre film, with particular focus on how satanic ritual, demonic possession and resurrection are used for darkly comedic effect.
It also discusses how, in a rapidly-evolving technological age defined by greater access, analogue technologies are used to amplify and supplement occult technique.
