Abstract

The Czech version of the Long-Term Conditions Work Spillover Scale (LTCWSS) has been forward and backward translated, linguistically and culturally adapted and reviewed by an expert panel (including patient research partners and rheumatology health professionals). The research team was led by Hana Smucrova, rheumatology occupational therapist, Institute of Rheumatology, Prague Czech Republic, and Prof Alison Hammond, School of Health & Society, University of Salford, UK.
The Czech version of the LTCWSS has not been tested in the Czech Republic. A British English version of the LTCWSS has been tested in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, axial spondyloarthritis and fibromyalgia. The British-English LTCWSS satisfied Rasch model requirements, and a LTCWSS Rasch transformation table and a Reference Metric equating scales with the WALS, were created (see Supplementary Materials in Hammond et al (2023). Concurrent validity was strong with the: WLQ-25; internal consistency good and test-retest reliability excellent., and it can be used in both clinical practice and research,
