Prof Scott Thurston S.Thurston@salford.ac.uk
Professor Poetry Innov Creative Practice
This Keynote paper for the annual postgraduate conference of the AHRC North West Doctoral Training Partnership describes how Thurston became interested in radical approaches to dance and movement. The paper describes the Vital Signs project, the work of Daniel Stern on vitality dynamics, and the work of Dance Movement Therapist Bonnie Meekums on movement metaphor. Thurston connects these explorations to the general theme of the conference as expressed in the title.
