McGarrigle, L.; Norman, G.; Hurst, H.; Todd, C.
Abstract
Purpose: Physical frailty is prevalent in lung transplant (LT) candidates and is linked to adverse outcomes both pre and postoperatively. Exercise has been proven beneficial in optimising exercise capacity and quality of life in LT candidates but its impact on physical frailty is unknown. We undertook a systematic review of the evidence for exercise training to modify physical frailty in adults prior to LT.
