Looping in OLSRv2 in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks, Loop Suppession and Loop Correction (2009)
Journal Article
Speakman, L., Owada, Y., & Mase, K. (2009). Looping in OLSRv2 in Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks, Loop Suppession and Loop Correction. IEICE Transactions on Communications, E92-B(4), 1210-1221. https://doi.org/10.1587/transcom.e92.b.1210

Transient routing loops have been observed to form in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks running the OLSRv2 proactive link-state routing protocol. The packets falling into loops impact the surrounding network thus degrading throughput even though only a small pr... Room temperature operation of subwavelength metallo-dielectric lasers (2009)
Conference Proceeding
Nezhad, M., Simic, A., Bondarenko, O., Slutsky, B., Mizrahi, A., Feng, F., …Fainman, Y. (2009). Room temperature operation of subwavelength metallo-dielectric lasers. . https://doi.org/10.1364/IPNRA.2009.JTuA1

Lasing is demonstrated in optically pumped InGaAsP-SiO2-aluminum structures, where both the resonator and the optical mode are subwavelength in all three dimensions. In the smallest case, a 550nm diameter InGaAsP disk exhibits lasing at 1390nm.

ecological frameworks and in part... Read More about The role of privately owned sports related green spaces in urban ecological frameworks.

Predicting functional upstream open reading frames in Saccharomyces cerevisiae (2009)
Journal Article

BACKGROUND: Some upstream open reading frames (uORFs) regulate gene expression (i.e., they are functional) and can play key roles in keeping organisms healthy. However, how uORFs are involved in gene regulation is not yet fully understood. In order t... Read More about Predicting functional upstream open reading frames in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Induction of TAp63 by histone deacetylase inhibitors (2009)
Journal Article
Sayan, B., Yang, A., Conforti, F., Bernanrdini, S., Tucci, P., Vasa-Nicotera, M., …Melino, G. (2009). Induction of TAp63 by histone deacetylase inhibitors. Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 391(4), https://doi.org/10.1016/j.bbrc.2009.12.147

TAp63 belongs to the p53-tumour suppressor family and is capable of transactivating a set of target genes to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. We showed that treatment of cancer cells with chemo-therapeutic drugs or the histone deacetylase (HDA... Read More about Induction of TAp63 by histone deacetylase inhibitors.
