Biography I am Reader in Mechanical Engineering. I was International Exchange Director for the School of Computing, Science and Engineering for almost 20 years until 2020. I am currently the Admissions Tutor for BEng (Hons) and MEng (Hons) programmes in Aeronautical Engineering and Aircraft Engineering with Pilot Studies. I have decades of experience teaching Engineering Mathematics, Engineering dynamics and Mechanical Systems in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering courses. I have taught many other subjects including Structural Mechanics, Finite Element Analysis, Pipeline Transmission and Distribution Systems and Design. I am very active in high temperature corrosion research and coating engineering and have published over 65 papers in leading international journals. My work involves advanced Mathematical modelling, Finite Element Simulation, Computational Fluid dynamics and experimental flame spray coating. I am also involved in micro-coating and nanomaterials modelling for jet engine, biological and marine systems and have participated in many international conferences. My current research interests also include electromagnetic smart materials, medical fluid dynamics, orthopaedics (bone fracture) and renewable energy research (nanofluid solar collectors). He is the Associate Director of the Multi-physical Engineering Sciences Research Group (MPESG), led by Prof. Anwar Bég.
Research Interests High Temperature corrosion, Micro coating, Nano coating materials on Jet Engines, Finite Element Analysis, CFD, Biomechanics, Structural Analysis.

- Mathematical modelling of smart fluids – electromagnetic materials for aerospace, marine and medical engineering.
