Prof Peter Hogg

Biography I hold qualifications in Diagnostic Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Protection. I also hold qualifications in teaching and computing. I worked at the University of Salford (UoS) for almost 29 years. I retired in August 2020 and was honored by UoS Senate with the lifetime title ‘Professor Emeritus’, for my work at UoS and for my professional work in medical imaging.
Whilst at UoS I held a range of responsibilities, including: MSc Nuclear Medicine Programme Leader, Head of Department (Radiography), Head of Research Centre (Health Sciences), Associate Dean Research (Health Sciences / Health and Society) and Research Lead for Diagnostic Imaging. External to UoS, I have been editor for 2 international journals and 13 textbooks; my complete publication profile can be found here - Over my career, I have sat on many local, national and international professional committees in medical imaging.
I have won and/or been nominated for a range of awards, for example: Times Higher Education Award (2), Fellow of the College of Radiographers, Gold Medal of the College of Radiographers, ‘many’ best paper awards at conference and best paper awards in journals.
