Biography I have worked at the University of Salford since April 2001, employed initially as a lecturer in Occupational Therapy. I have held roles including Programme Leader, Admissions tutor, Head of Learning and Teaching, Associate Dean Academic and interim Dean. My current role is as Deputy Dean at the School of Health and Society. I have been Chair of the Greater Manchester Allied Health Professions Council and co led their strategy development and am a member of numerous local, and national workforce and policy groups linked to health and care. I am a member of Council of Deans for Health and sit on their Strategic Policy Group. I gained a Doctorate in Education in 2013. I supervise of doctoral students.
I have worked with NHSE on the AHP Preceptorship and Foundation Support Steering group, Chaired the Greater Manchester AHP Council, was a member of the development group for HEE's AHP Career Development Framework and am a member of Council of Deans for Health Strategic Policy Group. member of numerous ICB / ICP workforce boards locally and regionally. I am Professor of Industry Collaboration in Health Care Education.
Research Interests Research interests include professional regulation, professional identity formation, workforce well being, transitions in career trajectories and preceptorship and industry collaboration in learning and teaching.
