Biography received his Ph.D. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, in 2005 where he worked as a lecturer of telecommunications systems until September 2006 and then a postdoc researcher at the Institute of Advanced Telecommunication at Swansea University. In August 2007 he joined the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Leeds as research fellow. He is currently Senior Lecturer and head of networking and Mathematics group at the School of, Science, Engineering & Environment at the University of Salford, UK. He also has a first degree in Electrical Engineering and MSc in Advanced Control Systems in addition to other professional certificates in the field of Computer Networks. He has published over 90 papers in high-quality journals and conferences proceedings in the field of telecommunications and networking.
Research Interests My research interests include Mobile Communications; 6G, 5G systems & beyond, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, Smart Grids, Internet of Things IoT, Radio resource management and location/mobility management in next generation mobile systems, and Cognitive Radio. I also have a special interest in Green ICT and authored a book chapter about this subject.
Teaching and Learning My teachings are mainly in Mobile communication networks, Data networks, Internet of Things IoT, Electronics, Control and Power Systems Engineering. I have also taught research methods and Project management for postgraduate courses.
