Biography | I began my research carrier at the Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamic (Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok, Russia) in 1990, where I worked on development and applications of modified version of finite elements method, then on the numeric solution of the dynamic deformation of the stainless steel plate on the various matrices. The calculations were performed with a FORTRAN_77 code which I developed and tested. The results of my research were published in the Institute Annual Reports and were presented at conferences. Between 1995-1998 I was teaching the University students at the Novosibirsk State Technical University and Novosibirsk State University in Calculus and Applied mathematics. Since I moved abroad with my family in 1998, I have been working as a self-employed Maths tutor first in France, then after 2001 in the UK. My experience in teaching students of different age and abilities was widened by work at MANCAT (Manchester) in 2004-2005. In 2010, I completed my PhD study in Accelerator Physics at the University of Liverpool. The work included the application and upgrade of the existing spin-orbit tracking computer codes, such as SLICKTRACK, as well as the development of the own numerical algorithms and programs. Shortly after graduation from the University of Liverpool in December 2010, I was employed by the University of Hamburg where I worked on the ILC (International Linear Collider) luminosity calculation. Another area of my research was an optic design of section for the combined spin-rotator/spin flipper for the pre-damping ring region and for the Final focus region for the ILC. The work on the ILC project were continued at the University of Oxford between 2012-2013. On the numerous occasions, I presented the results of study on national and the international conferences, workshops, and meeting. Since 2015 I have been working at the University of Salford in Engineering department: initially as a part-time lecturer in 2015-2020, then as a full-time lecturer. I have taught different modules in Engineering in the last 9 years such as Computational Aerodynamics, Engineering methodology, Engineering Structures and involved in Laboratory sessions and marking for Level 5 and level 6. I also worked as a module leader for variety of modules from Level 3 to Level 7. Currently, I am a module leader for Engineering mathematics modules for Level 3 and Level 4. I am involved in teaching, module development and associated administrative duties for both modules. |
