Nicola Pennington

Biography I currently hold the position of Deputy Director of Admissions for the School of Health and Society and Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing. My professional background is in Trauma and Orthopaedics, most recently working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. I have led on various projects, including roles as a project manager for the NHS Modernisation Agency, the Spinal Specialist Link Worker Team, and the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery initiative.
Currently, I lead the postgraduate taught module on Project Management and Methods of Inquiry. In my capacity as Deputy Director of Admissions, I am responsible for developing strategies to enhance recruitment processes, promote widening participation, manage in-reach and outbound activities, and oversee international recruitment efforts.
