Biography | Professor Francine Morris is Associate Dean (Enterprise and Engagement) at Salford Business School and Chair of Business and Community Engagement. She has previously led the university in their work on gender equality and been lecturer in human resource management and employment relations. She was awarded a PhD in Business Management from Alliance Manchester Business School which explored barriers facing mature graduates entering the labour market. Her current interests are around skills gaps and how higher education can work with business to supply work ready graduates. Dr Morris is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Trustee of the Manchester based charity GM4Women2024 which focuses on improving the lives of women and girls in Greater Manchester. She enjoys mentoring women who work and studying in higher education. Most recently Dr Morris established the Centre for Sustainable Innovation at Salford Business School. |
Research Interests | My main research interest is around the intersectional barriers facing women in the labour market. This extends into my civic and engagement work such as my trustee role for GM4Women and Women's Voice, Athena SWAN and external networks. |
