Biography Sarah is an experienced dance artist with a background in community arts and performance, dance pedagogy and socially engaged practice. When not lecturing at Salford, she works as a professional dance artist and project evaluator, delivering activity for a range of education and community arts organisations across the North of England. In her previous post with Ludus Dance, Sarah worked as a Creative Programme Manager, delivering/managing a range of projects in grassroots, community performance, inclusive dance and talent development contexts. In recent years she has delivered projects in collaboration with Grand Theatre Blackpool, Ludus Dance, The Electric Sunshine Project and Maelstrom Theatre.
Teaching and Learning Currently a Lecturer at University of Salford, Sarah delivers technique, choreography and contextual studies on the BA and MA courses. She is a programme leader for MA Dance Choreographic Practices, and MA Dance Creative Education and International Link Tutor.

Sarah regularly delivers community projects across Lancashire. Recent projects for Grand Theatre, Blackpool, focus on using dance and physical theatre to explore story-led resilience and wellbeing skills for young people. She works as an artist evaluator and evaluation specialist on these projects producing practice informed research reports for funders and project partners including The Ragdoll Foundation, The Royal Shakespeare Company and Headstart. She continues to deliver a small programme of contemporary dance class for adults in Southport and in 2018 created Doing a Grand Job, a dance performance for adults over 50, which was performed at festivals in Liverpool and Lancaster.
