Dr Stephen Atkins

Biography	Over 25 years of experience in higher education as lecturer and manager. Currently the Director of Psychology and Sport at the University of Salford, Manchester. Experienced academic manager, researcher, practitioner, and heutagogue. Accredited sport and exercise scientist with BASES and recognized as FBASES in 2022. Senior Fellow of the HEA since 2016.
Research Interests	Over 90 research publications, allied to multiple presentations at international conferences. Current interest areas include concussion in sport, in-game determinants of performance, and cycling sciences. H-index currently 23.
