Biography Mustapha is a Lecturer in BIM and Digital Technology at the School of Science, Engineering and Environment. Previously, he worked in the industry for 10 years as a Consultant Project Manager. Mustapha has completed his PhD, which focused on BIM implementation in Asset Management and value realisation for AEC Clients. Right through Mustapha’s industry experience, he has worked with contractors and key stakeholders to deliver projects ranging from small-scale building rehabilitations to large infrastructure projects. Mustapha’s career has grown through diverse fields of practice; starting from the basics of developing estimates right through contract administration and becoming an accomplished expert in building economics; then progressing into project management and developing a hands-on understanding of safeguarding significant client KPIs in project delivery; and then moving on to become a competent researcher in the field of BIM implementation, asset information management and subsequent business value realisation activities for built assets.
