Ms Lynne Barrow
Biography | I am the Director of Student Recruitment at the University of Salford Business School, where I lead a team of academic and professional staff to attract and retain home and international students. In my previous role I was an Associate Dean International for a large Faculty of Business, Law and Politics. I am a member of Senate, sit on the University Honorary Awards Committee and have a keen interest in public sector governance and ethics. I have a dual background as a senior academic and a qualified accountant, with more than 30 years of combined experience in higher education and the public sector. My core competencies include developing and maintaining domestic and international partnerships, creating and delivering high-quality accounting and finance programmes, enhancing the student experience and employability, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. I am passionate about promoting the value of business education and research, and advancing the global impact and reputation of Salford Business School. I hold an MBA with distinction, a Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods with distinction, a Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, and professional qualifications from FHEA, CIPFA, and AAT. I received ESRC matched PhD training and my special interests include public private partnerships, public sector governance, audit and performance measurement and management. I also have an interest in social justice and social mobility, working with the third sector to reduce educational inequalities. |
