Biography Dr Ganapathi is a lecturer at the University of Salford. Before joining Salford university, he was working as a senior researcher at Rolls-Royce supported Composites University Technology Centre (UTC) of Bristol Composites Institute (BCI). Ganapathi has developed materials property models for the composite fan blades under the projects FANTASTICAL and CTIFAN funded by Aerospace Technology Institute and UKRI. He worked as a research fellow at Rolls-Royce supported University Technology Centre of Nanyang Technological University (RR@NTU), Singapore and developed repair methodologies for composites aero-engine structures. Dr Ganapathi earned his PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, for his work titled “Numerical and experimental investigation of thick composites manufacturing for wind turbines”. Dr Ganapathi also worked as a stress analysis engineer at the Aircraft Research and Design Centre of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, Bangalore, India.
