Summary R-Agricultural Technology Applications Research Institute (Atari), Kolkata today organized a seminar on Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning for Effective Agricultural Advisory Tools in Hybrid Mode under the seminar series launched to bring about catalytic
changes in the Krishi Vigyan Kendra system from Data to Decision. Apart from Attari Kolkata, scientists from Krishi Vigyan Kendra of
Odisha, West Bengal and Andaman and Nocobar Islands participated. The main speaker, Dr. Jajati Mandal, School of Science Engineering and Environment, University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom
presented its lecture on the possibilities of moving towards a brighter future for farmers through these technologies, depicting the
global landscape of artificial intelligence and machine learning in agriculture. He said that these modern technologies are helpful in
making accurate and timely decisions, which will allow farmers to adopt more profitable and sustainable agricultural practices. At the
same time, he also emphasized on increasing knowledge and awareness on these technologies.
