Biography Andrew Hammocks is a sport scientist by background, specialising in biomechanics. He studied an integrated masters in Sport and Exercise Science with Professional Placement (MSci (Hons), University of Bath), with a master's dissertation on 'The Effect of Fatigue on Joint Kinematics from Running to Exhaustion'. He is currently completing an industry-funded PhD at the University of Salford in collaboration with On AG titled 'Quantifying the Real-World Movement of Children to Inform Footwear Design'.

Andrew is a PGR student representative for the School of Health and Society, and organises the PGR Peer Support group.
Research Interests Children's movement, motor development, footwear biomechanics
Teaching and Learning Lectured and led practical sessions on 'Biomechanical Considerations in Running Shoe Design' as part of the 'Biomechanics & Skill Acquisition' final year module of BSc (Hons) Sports Science.
