Following on from the success of the initial project, which explored the changes to the health and wellbeing of the individual that resulted from their participation in the social and therapeutic activities, we now wish to upscale practice and reach out further into the roots of the community with the socially prescribed activity packs priced to match the current medical prescription charge.
The core aim of this next phase is an upscaling of the work through a wider intervention which centres on green social prescribing packs to link into a broader audience, signpost services and secure the future of the project. The packs, distributed to a range of core GP and related services, will focus on educating people on work can that be undertaken in their own homes, alongside wider work in the community, through our own services for example.
