Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a non-
pharmacological pain relief intervention, which has been
extensively researched but with varying quality of clinical
trials leading to uncertainty in systematic reviews. Further
research is required targeting larger high quality clinical trials
utilising adequate TENS dose and timing of outcome
measures in order to clarify clinical effectiveness.
The University has been approached by the Client to carry
out a post-market prospective study of the use of TENS
settings for their SP8.0 device.
This is the second stage of a 2-stage project
