This paper investigates the effect of organisation cultural dynamics on innovation activities using an accessible practical tool and four illustrative cases from software companies in Sri Lanka. The analysis framework accommodates multiple perspectives within an organisation and facilitates to analyse of the effect of static and dynamic aspects of organisation culture on innovation activities whilst uncovering the organisation evolution and pattern of innovation adoption. The findings suggest that innovation activities are not only affected by the dominant culture but also the emergent and residual culture of firms when the adoption of innovation follows a product-process and organisational pattern over time.
