The baritone horn : an exploration of historical and contemporary repertoire
Richardson, R
Abstract
The title of this portfolio, ‘The Baritone Horn: An exploration of historical and contemporary repertoire’, represents the mission behind the three projects that make up my course of study. The
aim behind these is to enhance the status of the baritone horn (hereafter ‘baritone’) as a solo instrument by helping to increase and enhance the repertoire of the baritone and to create recordings of new and existing works, some of which had never been committed to audio recording before, that will serve as high quality examples of performance on the instrument.
