Abstract
This paper proposes that Agile is the most effective approach to doctoral research, particularly where an interpretive or phenomenological approach is taken. An iterative cycle through the key processes of research design, literature review, method design, data collection and analysis is more realistic than a sequential approach, and can lead to a better completion rate.
