Sanctuary volume 2 by Boscombe Band of the Salvation Army

Abstract

This is a follow up to Sanctuary vol 1, and my doctoral survey of the Salvation Army brass band, meditational literature. This second volume fills in some of the gaps in the early repertoire and also have five premièred composition recordings. Some of these premiers are new works specially composed for this production, others are premiers of pieces published as far back as 1957, and never previously recorded before. It is therefore an important link historically to the repertoire.
