Abstract

The publication of the Bradley review in the United Kingdom is a watershed in
the development of policy regarding the way that the Criminal Justice System
responds to individuals with mental health problems. It then goes on to explore
one aspect of that response: the role of the Appropriate Adult under the Police
and Criminal Evidence Act (1984).
