Ghana's mining sector, a key contributor to the economy faces challenges in its largely manual and paper-based procurement processes. This research addresses this gap by exploring the transformative potential of Industry 4.0 technologies in enhancing efficiency and transparency. The study employs a mixed-method approach, using questionnaires and interviews with procurement managers to assess the industry's technological readiness. The findings aim to guide the sector toward smarter and more competitive procurement operations, considering change management and skills development for successful adoption. This research contributes a practical framework and roadmap for leveraging next-generation technologies in the mining industry’s procurement process.
