Interview with Rob Sewell
Rob Sewell is the oldest Alumni to be interviewed within the first tranche of this collection. He studied at University of Salford on the BA (Hons) Popular Music and Recording programme in its original format between 2006 and 2009. He was always interested in innovative, highly technical approaches to performance and composition, his work at Salford was pioneering and within his subsequent career he has continued to develop from these perspectives.
Rob now works professionally as an audio engineer and technician in various roles. He has toured with bands such as the Zutons and Elbow and holds a permanent technical position at the Royal Northern College of Music. He also has considerable professional experience in musical instrument repair and renovation. Though he has worked on many instruments, he specializes in guitar work which is also is main performance instrument.
