Avebury Sanctuary Complex 2024 Selected

An evening of very short films showcasing Britain’s strangest and most wonderful folky stories. This event will be great fun, taking place in the smaller of the two screens at The Garden Cinema. We’re excited to be here for the first time! Screenings start at 20:45, so get down in plenty of time to grab a drink.

Tiny films with deep roots – magic, memory, and rural surrealism.

Avebury Sanctuary Complex – Listening to the hum of ancient stones.
The Angel in the Stone – A Hackney fairy tale buried in stone.
Baled y Dolmen – Neolithic grief meets Swansea heartbreak.
Mirie It Is (Dusking II) – A new folk rite to honour the dusk.
Fools Gambit Morris – Young dancers with bells and purpose.
Summat to be Seen – Pig in a tree. Backwards. You had to be there.
Passing Clouds – Sheep shearing becomes cloud alchemy.
The Final Known of the Unknown – A monk, a relic, and the forest’s edge.
