Biography | Garry Crawford is a Professor at the University of Salford. Garry's research and teaching primarily focus on culture, audiences, fans, consumers, digital media and technologies, but in particular, sport, and video games. He has authored and co-authored numerous books including, Cosplay and the Art of Play (2019), Video Games as Culture (2018), Video Gamers (2012), Introducing Cultural Studies (2017), and Consuming Sport (2004). Garry has worked with numerous external partners including (but not limited to), Alexandra Palace, the BBC, Camden Market, Imperial War Museums, London Symphony Orchestra, Manchester City FC, Manchester Storm IHC, the Royal Academy of Arts, Salford City Council, and Ubisoft. Garry is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Science and a Principal Fellow of the HEA. |
