Mr Calum Thomson
Biography | Calum Thomson is Higher Technical Skills Lead in the University of Salford Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre (LTEC). In this role, Calum leads LTEC activity relating to higher technical qualifications, apprenticeships, and more broadly higher vocational education. His expertise in this area relate to curriculum and learning design, student experience, and academic standards. In his role Calum also leads the LTEC learning technologist team, managing colleagues engaging in a range support and staff development activity relating to educational technology and blended learning. Calum's research focuses primarily on teacher development and colleague engagement with this. His MEd and EdD research both addressed distinct issues around teacher adopting of techniques in higher education for teaching with digital technologies. He has also presented and published work relating to a range engagement more broadly with pedagogic and academic development. |
