Mr Mohammad Al Bahloul
Biography | Mohammad is a professionally certified accountant and a lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Salford’s Business School since 2015. He has served as the Programme Leader for the MSc Accounting and Finance since 2017 and also acts as an External Examiner. Mohammad earned his degree from the Alliance Manchester Business School in 2004. Prior to joining Salford, he gained valuable international experience in consultancy and project management, specialising in accounting and auditing reform between 2012 and 2015. |

Research Interests | Dr. Albahloul’s research focuses on the international dimensions of the accounting profession, corporate governance, auditing, and accounting education. He has an extensive publication record, with over 25 outputs, including articles in journals listed on the Association of Business Schools (ABS) list. He also brings significant experience in postgraduate supervision, having successfully supported 10 PhD candidates to completion at Salford Business School, in addition to supervising numerous MSc students. Between 2012 and 2020, Dr. Albahloul worked as an International Consultant in Accounting and Auditing, completing several high-impact projects: 1. Development of an Integrated Professional and Educational Framework for Albanian universities and professional bodies, including the design of programmes and module specifications. 2. Component Three – Albanian Financial Reporting Enhancement Project: “Strengthening the Auditing Oversight System” Dr. Albahloul managed all project activities, including capacity-building training, and contributed to the development of technical deliverables and toolkits. His professional support covered areas such as quality assurance, investigation and discipline, qualification, registration, auditing standards, ethics, and continuing professional development (CPD). This consultancy was delivered to the Public Oversight Board and Audit Chamber in Albania. 3. Component Four – Albanian Financial Reporting Enhancement Project: “Improving Accounting and Auditing Curricula for University Education and Professional Certification” He led project activities, including capacity-building training, and contributed to the evaluation of existing education and certification systems. His work involved designing a sustainable educational and professional framework aligned with EU Directives and International Education Standards (IESs). 4. Development of a Mining Tax Audit Manual for the Mongolian Tax Authorities, including a detailed technical toolkit. 5. Design and Development of a Comprehensive Online CPD Toolkit for members of the Asia-Pacific regional programme, supporting continuous professional development. |

(both specifications & teaching resources), 4.Developing online teaching resources for PG modules for BUSINESS SCHOOL international partners.
